This study found that not natural variations in the Earth’s climate, solar activity, or volcanic eruptions could explain this new data which was collected in the real world. Models based on man-made greenhouse gas emissions matched this study precisely. Two of these greenhouse models were designed, one in Great Britain and one in the United States, and they matched exactly. Peter Stott from the Met Office in the UK, and his colleagues have also compared the temperatures above land and on the surface of the sea level and have found that the air above land was heating up much quicker than that of the surface of the sea.
